The Durango has received a new look with a center air inlet duct flanked by heat extractors, a lower valence, LED fog lamps, and a new front fascia. What are some of the optional safety features?

The 2018 Dodge Durango has over 60 safety features that come standard depending on the model. Some of these features would be front park assist, seven airbags, front-row active head restraints, trailer-sway control, forward collision warning and crash mitigation, adaptive cruise control with stop, rear cross path detection, blind-spot monitoring, and a Uconnect with 9-1-1 call access and roadside assistance. Additional packages can also be added for more features. The Technology Group comes with forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The GT has 20-inch wheels, heated front and second-row seats, rear parking sensors, a power liftgate, remote start, power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 115-volt power outlet, and leather and suede upholstery. The Citadel is the next trim up with automatic high beams and wipers, xenon headlights, upgraded brakes, a sunroof, a cargo cover, a navigation system, ventilated front seats, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. The R/T upgrades the steering system, adds performance hood designs, a sport-tuned suspension, LED foglights, a Beats audio system, and red accent stitching. Lastly, we have the SRT trim with an adaptive suspension, performance-tuned steering, SRT performance pages, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. Many options for standalone features and packages are available for various trims to further customize.

Which engines are available?

The 2018 Durango has three engine options. The 3.6-liter V6 is the base engine with 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The R/T and Citadel can have the 5.7-liter V8 with 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, and with a towing capacity of 7,400 pounds. The last engine is a 6.4-liter V8 with 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Additionally, the V8 engines also come with the ability to save fuel with a deactivation of four of their eight cylinders.
